There are people in every community, of every age, gender and race, and from every walk of life struggling with disease, chronic pain, addiction, depression, stress or other forms of medical, emotional and/or spiritual distress. Do you know someone like this? We all do. Perhaps you are the one who is struggling.
Is it “normal” to live like this?
We don’t accept it as “normal.” In spite of amazing advances in medical science, billions of philanthropic dollars spent on research for cures, and our best efforts as a society to help people out of their illness, disease, trauma, addiction and pain, there is still an epidemic of illness, disease and distress.
Is it possible that we’re missing something?
Is it possible that we’re looking very hard for a cure in the wrong place?
What if there are other pathways to healing and wholeness?
What if they are readily available and don’t even cost very much?
Shouldn’t we embrace them, study them, nurture them and promote them?
We think so.
We also think an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
We call it “alternative healing” and every day we promote compassionate, love-based, alternative healing, therapeutic nutrition and mind-body-spirit medicine as the new pathways to healing, health and wholeness.
We promote the proven alternative healers and therapies that we know work for us – both on their own and as a complement to modern medical practices.
And as we raise money, we help people in distress to get the alternative healing they need that they could not otherwise afford. We help one person at a time to get on the healing path, and we devote a portion of our funds to scholarship grants for qualified students of the healing arts.
