HOW WE SUPPORT STUDENTS OF THE HEALING ARTS

We presently run three Scholarship Programs for students of the alternative healing arts:

1. Our General Scholarship Fund which allows for grants up to 10% of the tuition for approved healing arts courses and programs. Grants from this fund are currently capped at $100 per student per year and are offered as funds become available from general donations and fundraising efforts.
2. Our Earmarked Scholarship Fund which allows for donors to support specific individuals or to support specific healing arts modalities through our tax deductible non-profit umbrella. Grants are made based on a case by case basis and are only limited by the availability of funds or restrictions specified by the donor.
3. Our BBSH Year 4 Student-Run Scholarship program which supports students in Year 4of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing in Miami, Florida. Click here for more information about giving to this fund and requesting assistance from this fund.

FOR STUDENTS:
We provide financial support for students of any age who are called to service in the alternative healing arts.  Complete our on-line Scholarship Application Form or ask the instructor or school to contact us about a scholarship grant.  We do want you to contribute the bulk of your tuition, and we may ask the healer or teacher to agree that you are an appropriate recipient of our funds.

Your request may not be fulfilled by the Foundation:

• If there are insufficient funds available, we may only be able to contribute what we can at that time.
• If there have been reports of poor practice against the instructor or school you are considering, and they are unable to satisfy our concerns, then we may not agree to support your education from that particular teacher or school.
• If your instructor or school does not agree that you are an appropriate recipient of our funds, then we may not agree to support your education.

WHY DO WE ASK CLIENTS AND STUDENTS TO CONTRIBUTE SOMETHING?
Because money is a physical representation of energy, it is important for every student to contribute the majority of the expense of their education. It establishes an energetic connection between student and teacher and it also helps students to take greater responsibility for their healing and/or education.

WHAT DO WE ASK IN RETURN?
There are two things we ask in return for our grants and financial support:

One, we ask students who benefit from our support to complete our Beneficiary Feedback Form. You can also send us a note by mail or email indicating that you received our support and how it benefited or affected you. Either way this documents our charitable contribution for our corporate records and helps build a case list of situations and results adding evidence to the value of alternative and complementary healing.

Two, we ask that you consider giving back to Our Weeping Angel Foundation if and when you are able.  If our support has helped you, then perhaps someday you can help us to help others.
