Based on our belief in the unlimited power of people helping people and recognizing the need for a significant increase in the role of holistic, alternative and complimentary healing practices in our society, Our Weeping Angel Foundation was formed as a public non-profit charitable corporation in 2007. We received our official 501 (c) (3) tax exempt status in August of 2007 which allows us to receive tax deductible contributions from individual and corporate donors, government agencies and private foundations, along with other tax saving benefits.
The Hooper family Weeping Angel is the symbol of our charity because she is such a powerful, unique and universal symbol of compassion. She is also one of the world’s greatest works of art with a fascinating history.
Hooper family descendants, John Hooper Dean, Julianna Dean, Elizabeth N. Hassan and family friend, Ruth Duncanson, founded Our Weeping Angel Foundation as a means of expanding a family tradition of compassion, charity, healing and spiritual guidance on a global scale.
